wHAT IS AN INSTRUCTOR RATING - (Grade 3 Training Endorsement)
Would you like to get paid for what you love doing?
Well, one very rewarding way is to obtain an instructor rating. Teaching others to fly is a very rewarding career.
All Instructors at GAS are Commercial Charter Pilots, so they teach from their daily experiences. We promise you will find it difficult to find a flying school where the instructors are charter pilots. This is what makes GAS unique in WA!
You thought your commercial pilot training was amazing? You are now going to take your flying to a whole new level.
An Instructor rating with a Grade 3 Training Endorsement allows you to train people to obtain their
Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL)
Private Pilot Licence (PPL) and
Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)
As a flight instructor, you will be faced with many challenges, different personalities and many questions - we are here to prepare you for that.
Some of the things we will focus on during your training will include:
· Accuracy of your flying
· Efficiency and time management
· Principles and methods of instruction
· In-depth theory
· Personal growth
· Plus much more
During your instructor rating training phase, you will acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to be able to develop yourself, grow as an individual and as a pilot. You will become a highly skilled professional who is confident of instructing others and learn how to work with other people plus much more.
As you progress through the course you will receive all materials necessary to become a great flight instructor. This will include briefings, in depth theory and tools which will greatly help you to become the best you can be.
Throughout the course you will be working alongside your training partner who will also substitute the role of a ‘student’. This means that both of you will be able to practice your new skills on and with each other during your training before teaching your first real student.

At Goldfields Air Services, we run the course FULL TIME or PART TIME depending on the requirements of our candidates. Full time is usually Monday to Friday and part time can be 2 or 3 days per week. Full time students normally complete the course between 7 to 9 weeks.
