WHAT IS a Recreational pilot licence

The Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) takes you through the basic building blocks of becoming a pilot. Every single pilot out there started right here, where you are right now.

At GAS, we honestly love our jobs! We are so excited when new people want to learn to fly; we love sharing our flying addiction.

We will introduce you to the basics of controlling an aeroplane, aerodynamics, basic manoeuvres, radio calls, emergency procedures, basic instrument flying, operating at a busy controlled airport like Jandakot and in uncontrolled airspace.

By the end of the course, you will be a competent RPL holder with the ability and confidence to take friends/family for a local scenic flight. How does flying your friends/family to Rottnest Island for the day sound or around the city of Perth?

This course is fundamental to building a solid foundation and understanding of flight training.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ?

At GAS we work around your schedule, making it very flexible. You can train every day if you like, study every afternoon and weather permitting, you could obtain your RPL in as little as 4 – 6 weeks!

How often you choose to train is purely up to you, our instructors will do their best to accommodate your family/work/study schedule.
